SK101 Clinic - This four-hour clinic is designed to provide a thorough introduction to the basic skills needed to enjoy the sport of sea kayaking. We will begin by discussing kayak design, equipment, proper clothing and safety issues. You will learn fundamental paddling strokes and braces so that you can maneuver your kayak with ease and confidence. You will also learn how to safely wet exit your boat during a capsize, as well as self-rescue techniques used to re-enter your kayak. There will be plenty of opportunity to review techniques with your instructor and ask any questions you may have. This class is open to participants 16 yrs and up.

Adult Paddle Club - This is a great opportunity to experience a series of kayak excursions at different locations in the local seacoast area. Weather you're a newcomer to the sport or a seasoned paddler looking to hone your skills, Excursions Paddle Club could be just what you're looking for!

Trips will be run on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer and are designed to introduce you to different launch sites and paddle routes in the local seacoast area. Our goal is to create a low-keyed, small group environment that offers an opportunity to meet new friends and paddle new areas.  All trips will be lead by a Registered Maine Sea Kayak Guide who will discuss kayak safety, fundamental paddle strokes, common coastal hazards and the rules of the nautical road.  We provide all equipment necessary and use full size sea touring kayaks for tracking and distance paddling.

Program dates: July 16th - August 13th
All trips meet on Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Each session includes 5 trips
Cost: $200 per person
